I highly recommend any traveller in the area to give Heathpark House a try. It’s a beautifully kept property, very quiet, very comfortable and with a superb breakfast . The owners are friendly, likeable and interesting people who did everything they could to make my stay pleasant.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Heathpark House is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Blairgowrie, 25 km from Scone Palace. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. At the bed and breakfast, some units have a private entrance, dining area, fireplace and dishwasher. Some units also have a well-fitted kitchen equipped with an oven, a toaster, and a fridge. At the bed and breakfast, certain units are equipped with a kettle and chocolates or cookies. As an added convenience, the bed and breakfast offers packed lunches for guests to bring on excursions and other trips off-property. Heathpark House is an elegant, welcoming guesthouse, set in two acres of mature gardens on the edge of the market town of Blairgowrie. It was built in the 1830s as a retreat from the big city, and with its spacious, airy interior, it still holds that same character of homeliness and peacefulness. In the rooms, we make the most of natural wood, big windows, cosy lighting and luxurious beds and bedding. A night's stay includes breakfast, with a choice of regular favourites, a daily special and good options for vegetarians and vegans. We're dog friendly too. Under an hour and a half from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, Heathpark House is an ideal base from which to explore the wild Cairngorms, the ‘Big Tree Country’ of Perthshire, nearby Angus, or just spend time away from the everyday. Take the highest public road through stunning scenery to Braemar, Ballater, Balmoral and Tomintoul. Head for munros, glens, forests, lochs and nature reserves. Dive into Scottish history and culture at Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, and in Dundee and Perth. You’ll also be two minutes from championship golf at Blairgowrie Golf Club.

Blairgowrie is a working market town, sat on the edge of Cairngorms National Park and on the River Ericht. Historically, the town was famous for its flax and jute mills, and still renowned for its fruit growing. In each bedroom is a book with local restaurants (including dog-friendly, vegetarian, vegan) and some of our favourite walks and places to visit and explore.
