Located on the edge of the idyllic Dartmoor National Park, in between Okehampton and the pretty market town of Tavistock, makes the cottage ideal for a couples getaway, avid walkers wishing to explore Dartmoor, sightseeing, or a family holiday. There are spectacular coastlines and beaches within 50 mins drive including Torquay harbour, Plymouth and Bideford. Dartmoor Zoo, Cornwall, Newquay and The Eden Project are all around an hours drive with a selection of English Heritage sites in and around the area. Church Gate Cottage is positioned in the heart of the pretty village of Bridestowe attached to St Bridget's gate. Within a 50 yard walk is The White Hart pub serving local beers, ales and home cooked food. Opposite the pub next to the stream is the village Post Office/Store selling a variety of produce. Bridestowe is central for exploring Devon with access by car to amazing coastlines. For the avid walkers Dartmoor National Park is on the doorstep along with cycle routes. National Trust site, Lydford Gorge, is a must visit. Located approx 4 miles away offering woodland trails through a Gorge with 30 metre waterfall, kids play are and tearoom.
