North Somercotes is 15 miles south of Cleethorpes, a popular holiday resort including the theme park Pleasure Island, the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway and other attractions. The village is only 8 miles from the Georgian town of Louth which still boasts 3 markets a week, with the very impressive St James Church, Hubbards Hills picnic area and beauty spot, as well as a cinema, leisure centre and many excellent restaurants and pubs. Mablethorpe, 11 miles, is only a short drive away and has sandy beaches along with all your normal seaside attractions including a fun fair and amusements.
