We loved the history of the hotel Very interested in WW2 history, so where better than to stay at The Petwood and walk in the footsteps of the heroic Dambusters. Beautiful, well tended grounds. Woodland setting- pleasant, flat walk into village centre
Excellent breakfast with super choice. Efficient and pleasant waitresses.
We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night. Good menu. Waitress Karen was very friendly and helpful.
Woodhall Spa is a charming village with a lovely high street; interesting shops, hotels, bars and cafés. Home of the Dambusters Squadron, so steeped in history. Woodland setting. A visit to the unique Kinema in the Woods is an absolute must. Like stepping back in time.

Everything, the house was lovely, the garden looked lovely obviously didn't get to use it much as the weather wasn't good but did have a wander round, unfortunately we were in woodhall spa for a funeral but the house was a perfect base, clean comfortable and well equipped and the little village is lovely too, and the welcome gift was a lovely touch as well

The campsite was easy to find. The owners live on site and couldn't be more helpful. There was every facility you can imagine and then some... my 5yr old daughter was particularly impressed by the swing seat and the princess bed.
A fantastic hotel to stay in. Very well located for visiting Bomber Command Memorial, East Kirby Heritage Centre, Battle of Britian Memorial Flight and the City of Lincoln. If travelling to Lincoln use the Park and Ride it's so much easier and cheaper than parking in the city. We will definitely be returning to Petwood Hotel.

This was a short visit to celebrate my husband's birthday. After a lovely stay at Petwood Hotel we looked around Woodhall Spa (although we had been there before). Parking is easy - the first 2 hours are free or park on the road. There is a Sainsburys just near to the centre. The individual shops are very interesting. A delightful bread shop/deli, cafes and an independent greengrocer (which is rare) were all well stocked and the staff were very friendly.

Great little town, with plenty of very nice pubs with great food, you just have to visit Abby Lodge Public House the food is excellent, the park just off the Main Street with outdoor pool and plenty of other attractions sets an example other towns should follow plenty of other attractions all of which are worth a look. There are no wild bars or loud music and the coast is not that far away if you fancy a day on the beach.

Woodhall Spa is a very pretty place to stay. Beautiful park.
Woodhall Spa is a very pretty place to stay. Beautiful park. Lovely little shops. Even has a small supermarket for the essentials. Petrol is easy to find. There is a beautiful memorial to the RAF and the Dambusters squadron. A very fitting memorial. Everything is in easy walking distance but there are car parks if you prefer to drive. It also is a good base if you want to go exploring. It seems to be near the centre of everything so it’s nice and easy to see everything.
Just returned from a lovely 2 night break at the Dower House. We stayed here a few years ago when visiting the area and found Woodhall Spa to be an ideal location. The hotel didn’t disappoint and we were actually upgraded to a beautiful suite in the Lodge. Evening dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the staff and service throughout our stay was excellent. The hotel has retained its original features whilst combining them with its excellent facilities and we would certainly stay here again.
The cottage is beautiful , very cosy, and had all the facilities that you would need for a weekend away.
The location is peaceful, but if you want restaurants , pubs, and shopping , Woodhall Spa is just over 5 minutes drive .
The hosts , Brian and Fiona, are friendly and even offered to drop us off and pick us up from a restaurant we had booked for the following night. All in all, it was a perfect little weekend away. Thank you 😊
Wonderful apartment in the centre of Woodhall Spa. The attic space rooms was well equipped and fitted out. Easy walk to the key locations in the town. We stayed Thur/Fri evenings and the bonus for us was it was 40's weekend so the street outside was lined with vintage vehicles and people in period costume. Plentiful off-road parking at the rear of the property.
Property was in excellent order, New fittings and fixtures, spotlessly clean. The location is superb, with easy walk into the beautiful town of Woodhall Spa with its variety of eating establishments, independent shops and historical monuments related to 617 squadron. The pictures and description do not do it justice.
The rooms were luxurious and up to the standards of a very superior grade hotel.
The hosts were warm, welcoming and sincere , making us feel truly at home.
The breakfasts were gourmet spectacular!
The location is superb. In the country yet minutes from Woodhall Spa.
Wonderful, quiet location within a short drive of Woodhall Spa. Well equipped and beautifully presented cottage with lot of personal touches and thought put in. Loved sitting out in the sunshine enjoying the amazing view that stretches for miles. Have booked again!
The helpfulness of the staff was great, particularly the woman who was running the place. It was good value and
the location right in Woodhall Spa was very good. I would definitely stay there again.
Bob was friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had everything we needed. Excellent venue and location for golfing at Woodhall Spa. A last-minute room type change was gladly accommodated...THANK YOU.
We have visited the hotel on a number of occasions as it has a lovely location and gardens. The room was very nice and the staff were pleasant and professional.
