Choristers Mews is a cosy cottage a stones throw away from the Cathedral and a short walk from the famous Uphill Bailgate area accessing Lincoln Castle and Steep Hill shopping and tourist sites! On site parking is not available, but there is usually lots of nearby on street parking available on Nettleham Road, Church Lane, Mainwaring Ave, The Grove - particularly after 5pm.

Living in the Uphill area of Lincoln for several years has allowed us to fully enjoy and benefit from the wonderful local markets, independent shops and eateries and only a short walk down Steep Hill to the hub of city centre shopping and entertainment, hosting the great nightlife and cinematic experiences for the solo traveller to a family looking for a full tourist visit! Set on cobbled streets with a quaint yet historic atmosphere, the Cathedral Quarter is both unique and vibrant. Castle Square nestles between Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle - including the 1215 Magna Carta - and is home to the Visitor Information Centre and regular farmers', antiques and artists' markets. To the north is the famous Bailgate shopping area and you can find the award-winning Steep Hill to the south. If you dont fancy tackling 'Steep Hill' we also recommend jumping on the local 'Walk and Ride', that has a convenient stop less than 100m from our cottage; this service can be found by putting into your 'search engine' ACCESS LINCOLN WALK & RIDE ....really flexible, can hop on and off at multiple stops as often as you like on a day pass - highly recommend :)
