Craft Renaissance is a beautiful barn conversion hosting holiday cottages, an art gallery and a café. It is the perfect area for those wanting to explore the surrounding areas whether it be on foot or by bicycle. The cottages are close to the historic little town of Usk, with its fairytale castle, independent shops, many pubs and famous floral decorations, and the appealing village of Raglan, also with a castle, pubs, farm shop, gliding club and award-winning butcher! The area is in the heart of historic and beautiful Monmouthshire, with its myriad attractions and eateries. Tintern Abbey and the market towns of Abergavenny and Monmouth are all under 10 miles. Exceptional golf courses abound (Ryder Cup 2010), and excellent walking can be found in the Brecon Beacons, Offa’s Dyke, and the Wye and Usk valleys.
My husband Rob and I moved back to beautiful South Wales having between us lived in Liverpool, Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Winchester and Wiltshire. We have a young daughter named Luna and a very handsome dog named Samson. I love fashion, textiles, art and crafts and Rob loves anything on two wheels, which we live in a perfect part of the world for! We look forward to showing off this beautiful area of South Wales to anyone who wishes to come stay with us. We can promise you a warm welcome, gorgeous home, hosted with a sense of humour! Helene, Rob, Luna and Sammy I live next door to the cottages and work on site so will be available to you most of the time, even if you just need some herbs for your cooking!
We have a gallery on site which displays work from local Welsh artists and also a cafe open everyday. Just a 5 minute drive away you have the fantastic town of Usk that has a unique selection of shops, pharmacy, butcher, co-op, pubs and cafes. 15 minutes away is the market town of Abergavenny, surrounded by the Sugar Loaf, Blorenge and Skirrid mountains. The views from the top will take your breath away! You will need a car or bike to get around as we are just 5 minutes outside of the local town.
