Excellent stay, exceeded expectations, efficient friendly check in. Had an extremely loud fan in the room, was immediately allocated a different room np. Lovely room, hot shower, biscuits a nice touch. No complaints at all!

room was very shabby and needed refurbishing. Beds were comfortable and linen was clean. Facilities needed to be updated. Hair dryer on the wall was not working but I was given a new one to use so this was good.
Set in over 7 acres of gardens, The Parkway Hotel & Spa in Cwmbran boasts a leisure club with a 15-metre swimming pool, sauna and spa bath. There is also a restaurant and lounge with a real log fire.

Food was excellent. The pool and jacuzzi were amazing. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
This historic country inn has delicious food and luxury rooms. It is within a few km of the famous Celtic Manor Resort, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The Old Barn Inn dates back to the early 1750s.
Occasional visits to Caerleon for business.
Pleasant village/town with a good history and an interesting Roman fortress/baths.
Recommend sitting outside of the Hanbury Arms on sunny day with the meandering river and diving birds.

Good pubs and cafes - try the cafe on the green which is friendly and relaxed.
An interesting sculpture trail.
A lovely alleyway with quirky arts and craft shops, plus a sculpture play area for children, plus a cafe.
