It was a fleeting visit. We arrived at 5 minutes after midnight and left at 0730.We were not in any public rooms or restaurant. The staff were nice and the grounds exceptional. We are given a room with bathroom kitchen and sitting room. The bedroom wa large and comfortable.

Location to were I wanted to be near the river to do parkrun. The host were friendly and the breakfast was good, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

About 3 miles out of Usk town, superb country pub with cosy rooms, very comfy beds, newly appointed bathroom with large luxury shower. Meals in the pub were excellent, as was the breakfast which was included in the price. Large garden area. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Set in over 7 acres of gardens, The Parkway Hotel & Spa in Cwmbran boasts a leisure club with a 15-metre swimming pool, sauna and spa bath. There is also a restaurant and lounge with a real log fire.

Pleasant village/town with a good history and an interesting Roman fortress/baths.
Recommend sitting outside of the Hanbury Arms on sunny day with the meandering river and diving birds.
