At certain times you have the option of delicious evening meals at our table d'hôte or grazing boards serving local produce. There is an attractive saltwater swimming pool set within our extensive grounds that is ideal for cooling off during the hotter months. Vintage Vert is our beautifully restored 18th century manor house set among rolling French countryside in the small hill-top hamlet of Lahitte-Toupiere. Here in the Hautes Pyrenees, right next to the Gers, you can enjoy relaxing rural retreats and charming holidays based in an unspoilt area of the French countryside, famous for its fine cuisine and beautiful scenery. We are within easy reach of restaurants, cafes, bars and vineyards offering local gastronomy and fine wines, including such local specialities as confit de canard, foie gras, Armagnac and the rich dark wines of the Madiran. We can arrange tours of the local vineyards with an English speaking guide. The surrounding countryside is dotted with attractive bastide villages such as Marciac, Bassoues, Trie sur Baise, Tournay and Saint Sever de Rustan, which are ideal places to while away a few hours over a stroll, a cup of coffee or a spot of lunch. The region hosts many music festivals and sporting events throughout the summer months. The local food and antique markets offer the opportunity to while away a few relaxing hours and offer a taste of life in France.
