La Maison 1934 in Colmar, is located in a quiet street behind the historic train station, served by TGV. The property is 1 km from the old town of Colmar and its Christmas markets and 1.5 km from Place des Dominicains. The city center is easily accessible within a ten/fifteen minute walk. Discover the charm of these colorful accommodation, entirely renovated with care to offer you a comfortable stay a few steps from the station : each apartment combines the charm of the 1930s with modern comfort, equipped with a smart flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen (espresso maker / kettle and a selection of teas) and a private bathroom. Accessible by a staircase to the first floor. If you wish, breakfast can be served to you each morning. La Maison 1934 benefits from the large free public SNCF car park with 300 spaces just opposite. Luggages can be left in the in the hall away from check-in/check-out hours.
We are former globetrotters born in Alsace who have spent part of their life living and working abroad (Spain, Germany, Brazil, Ecuador, United Kingdom). Thanks to these years, we are fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and a little less German; so if your language is one of them, do not hesitate to communicate directly with us in your native language! When the time came to settle down and start a family, we returned to Alsace, our "mother country", because we could not imagine a more comfortable place to live there. It is said of our emblematic regional bird that after their long migration, the storks always return to the nest: this is what happened for us and we would be happy to share with you our attachment to our beautiful region!
The area is peaceful and benefits from its proximity to Colmar train station: it is central but outside the old town, easy to reach on foot (10/15 minutes walk). Bakeries and cafeteria are nearby, 100 and 200 meters away. All means of transport are easily accessible: national (TGV) and regional trains.(TER), bus, taxis, rental bicycles. A large free car park with 300 spaces is located in front of the house. The accommodation is located in the 1930s district, which marks the limit between the Center district, the Sainte Marie district and the South district. Staying in Colmar around the station is an excellent option to escape the bustle of the city center, travel by train, take the airport shuttles or if you plan to visit the neighboring cities by bus, without having to worry about parking or carry all your luggage in the center. In addition, you can easily access the old city center and its activities by foot!
