Charlotte is a florist and the house is surrounded by a magnificent working flower garden. There are pastoral views towards the village and the woods beyond. The bright and sunny garden room is on the ground floor of the house which is medieval in origin, and stays cool even during the hottest days of summer. It has a private entrance patio and garden with loungers. The river, perfect for a dip, is 1km away. Charlotte used to be a decorative artist and owned a vintage shop back in the UK; expect quirky vintage items and many flowers!

Charlotte has had a varied career in the creative arts, she has sung and written professionally and was a Superhost at her former house in Worcestershire, where guests commented on her attentiveness and warm welcome.

The house is situated in beautiful countryside, with easy access to Hautefort, with its magnificent chateau and brocantes, and Perigueux at 25 kms away. We love the weekly market at Excideuil and there are extensive opportunities for rambles and bike rides around the house. The Dordogne's main tourist attractions are a scenic drive away, the cave at Touroirac being the closest at 6km.
