This apartment is in an ancient building, which is fascinating in itself. From the staircase, to the doors and creaky wood floors, you can appreciate the age. I know it’s stylish today to paint walls black, but it felt too dark for me and the windows look out to other windows that are close, and it was not enough privacy for me. So it wasn’t to my taste, but I know other people will love it. It was exciting to learn it was one of the few buildings in the city to survive the great fire in the 1700’s in Rennes. The bed is very comfortable. The manager was very helpful.
