I bought La 'Belle Maison' in 2013 in the centre of Piegut as an empty shell and since refurbished it to a modern standard but retaining a lovely French charm. We have incorporated our pool for guests to use during July or August and although very secluded, is in the centre of town. Bookings during July and August are for a minimum of is 7 nights, (15:00hrs Saturday to 10:00hrs the following Saturday). Bookings outside these dates must be for a minimum of 3 nights. The property itself is quite unique, originally part of a hotel, it was converted into townhouses and with the inclusion of the Mezzanine, now covers four floors. The house has a very large ensuite double bedroom on the fourth floor. Two single beds and a further bathroom on the mezzanine and within the large spacious living area on the first floor, there is a single bed for additional guests. The first floor living area has high ceilings and has a unique modern feel but with a traditional feel to include antique furniture for a 'je ne sais quoi' experience. The superb ground floor is all encompassing to cater for your dining cooking and entertaining needs, it is very modern light and very spacious. The house has been recently refurbished to a high standard with all facilities new and modern.

I fell in love with Piegut Pluvier as it has the special ability to make you shrug off all those stresses and strains of normal daily life. It is a place where I love to relax but you can walk or cycle or join in many activities here. When Wedensday comes, we come alive with the largest Market in the Dordogne. I just love to wander the market, taking in the French stalls and produce and listening to the hustle and bustle of market life. I feel very privileged to live in Piegut Pluviers as many people, on a Wednesday, travel many Kilometres to come to our little village to experience our market. It just has so much for me here. We are so close to good Restaurants and places to visit plus walks around the village, that can be tranquil, intellectual, fun loving or days when I am a Connoisseur of good food and wine. Just heavenly.

We are centrally located in the village and just 25 meters from the market itself. The market is the oldest and largest in the Dordogne. For the Beach lovers among you, we have at St Esteph a couple of Kilometres away, a Beach at the Lake, with Beach bars and a Restaurant, the facilites are exellent for the disabled and children have a play area to keep them amused. The view over the lake is stunning. There are many Chateau's to visit, other nearby historic towns and the beautiful tranquil countryside of Rural France for your walks. Brantome is known as the Venice of France and just 30mins away, well worth a visit with the Chateau at Bordeilles nearby for your cultural experiences.
