On the ground floor, you'll find a spacious open-plan layout; a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy lounge. Step out onto your very own private patio through the back door—just the spot for savoring a delightful morning coffee accompanied by warm and flaky croissants. Ascend to the first floor, where a charming double bedroom awaits, accompanied by a large, airy bathroom room. Lastly, when you make it to the top floor, take a moment to appreciate the captivating stairwell; you will find a delightful twin bedroom and a beautiful shower room. Enjoy! La Vienne gite offers a delightful private side garden, complete with a BBQ area exclusively for your enjoyment! The large, L-shaped main garden is shared between the two gites, providing a peaceful and picturesque backdrop for you to relax and appreciate the natural beauty surrounding you. For your entertainment, we have a range of recreational facilities, from ping-pong to soft archery, we've got you covered. Plus, there are plenty of chairs, sun loungers, and picnic tables for you to enjoy. Our cozy combination of the two gites comfortably accommodates 8 people (with the option of an extra 2 on a sofa bed) making it an ideal choice for a holiday with friends or family. La Vienne gite does not accept pets.

We are a small, family-run business consisting of just the two of us, along with our mischievous foursome of cats, who can be spotted playfully roaming around our premises! Our primary passions revolve around nature, wildlife, and vintage antiques. Fortunately, we are situated in the heart of one of the most pristine areas in rural France, allowing us to indulge in our love for walking, cycling, and swimming. Living here has taught us to always carry a camera with us, as the beauty of the wildlife in this region is simply astounding. Thanks to the tranquility that surrounds us, many usually shy animals and birds are easily encountered during daylight hours, giving us the perfect opportunity to capture breathtaking photographs. During the summer, we've established a fun tradition: at 4 pm, we take a break from whatever we're doing and make our way to the nearby lake for a refreshing swim. The lake is just a short 5-minute drive or a pleasant 30-minute walk away, making it super convenient. It's the perfect activity to fill a few hours or even an entire day with joy. To complete our lake adventure, we absolutely love visiting the two little Bistro's along the shore. During the summer months, these charming spots are open and waiting for us! After a swim, we unwind with a cool drink and, if I'm lucky, enjoy a delightful evening meal while admiring the breathtaking sunset over the lake. We simply can't let our guests have all the fun—we want to join in on the excitement too!

If you're a fan of sightseeing and immersing yourself in culture, there's so much to explore. Exquisite chateaus, quaint towns, ancient ruins and intriguing museums. With two vibrant weekly markets taking place place year-round, one week won't be sufficient to experience it all In order to fully immerse yourself in this wonderful destination, having a car is absolutely essential. While our nearest town is only a brief 10-minute drive away, there are no shops or restaurants closer, which adds to the unique charm of this location.
