Built 1000 years ago on a gigantic rock, this magnificent fortress rises above one of the most beautiful villages in the Aveyron region of France. The Château de Belcastel began with a 9th-century chapel, and grew over the centuries as generations of knights, nobles and rogues built their legacies within the stronghold.
