Olot street is located in the old town of Besalú, surrounded by historical buildings and places of interest. This neighborhood is known for its rich culture and heritage. In its surroundings, you will find the church of Sant Pere, a Romanesque architectural jewel dating from the 12th century. You can also visit the Monastery of Sant Pere, a former Benedictine monastery that today houses the Circus Museum. Olot street is the ideal starting point to explore Besalú. A few steps away, and you will reach the famous Fortified Bridge, an impressive medieval structure that spans the Fluvià River. From there, you can enjoy panoramic views of the town and its surroundings. If you arrive in Besalú by train, keep in mind that the town does not have its own train station. The nearest station is Girona, located about 25 kilometers away. From there, you can take a bus to Besalú, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Buses are usually frequent and offer a convenient service to get to the center of Besalú. If you prefer to travel by bus from other cities, there are direct connections available from Girona and other nearby towns. If you are traveling in your own vehicle, there are several parking options available in Besalú. Although the old town is restricted to traffic, there is free public parking just outside the old town, near the Tourist Office.
