Back to La Tierra is close to everything but away from it all, in Mijas (Malaga, Spain). Our accommodation is decorated in simple elegance offering space for 6 guests in total between an apartment for 4 (2 bedrooms with each an ensuite bathroom) and a studio for 2. ​Back to La Tierra is a soul driven project by Marina and Paul, bringing together everything that constitutes wellbeing. Our orchard garden, where we are starting to grow our own food, is a way to reconnect with nature mindfully and learn to observe and approach life through a different lens. Staying in one of our two heart-warming apartments (total max. 6 pers.) is more than just a bed for a few nights. It's an experience which will nourish you on multiple levels. We are Marina and Paul and we welcome you to our finca to experience natural living in simple elegance. ​ Although both originally Dutch, we have lived in Southern Spain on and off, since 1978 and 1989 respectively. ​Marina has an international hospitality background and is currently dedicated to yoga and writing. Paul has had a medical profession and now paints portraits and is an avid permaculturist. ​Our children Tessa and Sebastian were born in Spain and are now discovering the world and themselves.

Back to La Tierra is located just below the village of Mijas and 5 minutes from the coastal town of Fuengirola in the province of Malaga. The Malaga city and airport is 20 minutes, so is Marbella. This is an ideal location of you want to be close to everything but away from it all. When you are relaxing by the pool or picking oranges in the garden it will be hard to imagine that you have fantastic restaurants, lovely villages and some excellent beaches, entertainment and shops all within 20 minutes and less. Supermarkets are within 5 minutes, there is a busstop within walking distance. The finca is located in a rural community with houses close by but free views of the mountains of Mijas.
