La Muñequita is a family runned Lodge & Farm located in Palmar Sur. Our beautiful finca is named after my wife Jenny who is our "Muñequita" (Little Doll) and the best cook in town. If you are looking for an off-grid experience, surrounded by nature this is the place you are looking for ! Listen to macaws & parrots in the morning, look for the most colorful butterflies and birds in the afternoon and imagine what animals you could see during the night. On top of that you'll be able to experience the richness of traditional, local food. The real "pura vida" is waiting for you here! Our finca is located very close to a number of tourist sites such as : - 10 minutes from the Archaeological Site & Museum of Stone Spheres in Finca 6 of Palmar Sur de Osa. It has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014. - 15 minutes from here is the Terraba Sierpe National Wetland; the largest wetland in Central America. - 90 km from the entrance of Osa Peninsula where is located Corcovado National Park; one of the best National Park in Costa Rica, or even in the world, home to 2.5% of the biodiversity of the world, where you can see magnificent birds, mammals and luxurious primary and secondary forest. On Osa Peninsula is also located the famous Bahia Drake considered one of the most beautiful regions in the world with a variety of beautiful beaches, lush rainforest and biodiversity.

We are a really open-minded family, who love to get to know other cultures. That is why we welcome you with open arms and offer a true Costa Rican "Pura Vida" experience. You'll lodge right on our farm, where we keep our goats, dogs, cats, hens living together with all the wild animals such as macaws, hummingbirds, iguanas, parrots... You'll also meet some humans along the way 😀 We welcome volunteers from all over the world to help us with our goats and cows. We've had volunteers from all over Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United States, etc. It is a great pleasure to take them in and truly live a cultural exchange. They might be around when you come stay with us.
