Quiet, cosy, good equipped, beautifull kitchen, child friendly, enough space, nice garden, garden view from dinner area, two bikes included, open spaces, nice bathroom, save, parking place for 3 cars. Also intresting for business purposes. Originally, 50 years ago the house served as an holiday home for families who lived in town. The original construction is in wood. In 1970 it was sold. We bought it from the new owners, our neighbors in 1985. In the beginning we used it for all kind of purposes and family events. In 1995 it became my husband's accountancy office. In 1997 my father in law build a facade in stone and the entrance. From 2011 until 2015 first my daughter and afterwards my son lived here and changed inside to what it is today. My daughter did most of the changes and my son did all electricity and domotica and a lot of changes on the garden. This year after my son choose another place to live we decided to give it his new destination. May 1st 2015 we started with Harmony. To be in line with ethical standards of today we decided for sustainability. 80% of the tools and furniture is from thrift.
Annie has 36 jaar professionele experience in automobile and IT sector. 10 year PM ervaring. 20 year experience with soft skills such as stress handling and personal development. 5 jaar freelance coach and trainer. Owner of a Friesch horse with the name Chiron. Hobby's painting, Gregorian chants and member of an archers guild. Married with Jean. Two children and two grand children. Jean is a collector of music on vinyl LP's. We both like to be in nature and to dance.
40 years ago it was all nature and forest. People from town and other parts of Belgium came to spent their holiday's here. Today lot of the forest is replaced with nice houses. Although nature is less it is still a quit a green area. Situated very close to the canal from where nice walking and bicycling can be done. There are a lot of good restaurants and supermarkets in the neighborhood. There is an open golf nearby. A farm for children, a number of outside and in-house play gardens are very close. It is a paradise for cyclists and walkers. The biggest shopping area from Europe is in a distance of 20km. Nice towns as Antwerp, Hoogstraten, Sint-Niklaas, Turnhout, Breda are in a distance of 15 to 30km. Harmony is on 1 km from the highway.
