Our holiday houses are located on a 1acre beachfront block at Wagait Beach Village, one of Darwin best kept secrets. Our spacious three bedroom houses are elevated, adjacent, eco-sustainable and most importantly, they are affordable and you get the whole house to yourself. Our Beach House (holiday home) is set on the beachfront and has direct private access to the beach just 50m away, while our Windmill House (three-bedroom house) is set at the back of our beachfront block and has public beach access (80m away). Endless miles of native bushland and remote beaches extend westward, just waiting to be explored. Each self-serviced house is fully furnished and air-conditioned. Bed linen, freshly made beds, bath towels/soap, cooking and washing facilities are all provided. The TV and mobile reception are excellent and our Beach House (holiday home) has free Wifi access, but unfortunately our Windmill House (three-bedroom house) currently doesn't have Wifi. Both houses do however have good 4G coverage (Telstra and Optus). Just settle in and enjoy the cool sea breezes in a peaceful bush setting. The native wallabies and abundant birdlife are regular friendly visitors. Experience great fishing, mud-crabbing, beachcombing, hiking, bird watching and glorious red-ochre sunsets. Take a short 150m stroll to the Cox Peninsula Country Club where locals and visitors gather for a quiet beer, wine and meal (Thursday evening to Sunday evening). The nearby Wagait Beach Supermarket also provides some basic takeaway meals.

Me and my partner are semi-retired and we luv relaxing on the beach ourselves at sunset - a wine in hand. We look forward to our guests enjoying a quiet relaxing time at one of our beachside holiday houses and spending time having fun on the white sandy beach adjacent our facility. And the great feedback we get from our happy guests keeps us motivated.

Wagait Beach is a small, quiet coastal village located across the harbour from Darwin city. We are accessed by either the regular (every 1-2hrs), 15 minute Seacat ferry ride from Darwin to the Mandorah ferry jetty (4km from Wagait Beach) or our guests can choose to drive 130km along fully sealed roads from Darwin. If required, we provide a complimentary ferry pick-up and drop-off service by pre-arrangement. At Wagait Beach, there is a well stocked, 7 day per week convenience store with fuel bowsers, and the Cox Country Club is located within a couple of minutes walking time from our holiday houses.
