We just stayed for one night but had a really nice stay.

Very helpfull owner. It you come from Graskop it is easy to find with great signboards. The Road is a real bushroad. I will love to come back. I am now staying in a first class hotel but is longing for the simple beauty of Joys Backpacker place. Also close to great sights. Highly recommended.

We were one of the only guests staying and the fairly secluded property with its mountain views, trees and a little lake felt like a peace haven. We had a fully equipped kitchen in our private spacious room and could also use the communal area with a pool table in the main house. The host and his mum were very nice and we were greeted by the residential goose, two cute dogs and cat everyday in the outside lounge area. Would definitely stay again!
