The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The place is exceptionally clean. It has a great home-feel. The kitchen is equipped for cooking if needed. It's in a safe location with bars and restaurants nearby. Uber/Bolt was always arriving within a few minutes. Great place overall. It has a little bar at the back, perfect for a drink and small conversation. Recommend staying.

Authentic African Bicycle Tours and Back Packers is situated in Soweto, 2 km from Orlando Stadium. The property has a garden with thatched roof and barbecue facilities. Traveling for the first time into this part of "historical" South Africa and after hearing about the negative stuff, I wasn't sure how it will be, but "Lungi" made it a "smooth" ride. He knows many people around and will help you out in getting rid of the negative perceptions/stereotypes you have about this place. He can also spontaneously organize tours and guide you in showing different places around Jo'burg/Soweto. After staying here, I can say that staying here was better than in staying in Jo'burg. The room & the toilets are clean...and no mosquitoes (at least inside the room). So, it was a learning & a great stay! :)

The atmosphere and all their staff are great. We also went on a history and cooking tour, highly reccommended if you want to get to know about the country in depth. Matshidiso the cook was so kind to us!! We absolutely loved the cooking experience and the food we cooked. The place is safe, we had a walk freely in the area. Very good transfer service to the airport and no problems with loadshedding. Worth going there.

Friendly and helpful staff and owner. We felt very welcome, safe and enjoyed our stay!! Also enjoyed a nice evening with live music and a great burger. See you next time! ;)

All of the staff members and owners are really great, so helpful. There is self-made breakfast, which is very nice. There are 2 very nice equipped communal kitchens. I extended my staying because I liked this place very much.

Rosebank Hostel is situated in the Rosebank district in Johannesburg, 1 km from Rosebank Mall and 1.7 km from Hyde Park Shopping Centre. Rosebank Hostel features free WiFi. Honestly, I don't understand the reviews here. I was expecting something horrible, but it's actually a nice hostel. I liked this: Room: clean, good bed Staff: everyone friendly Location: Fantastic, in a safe area (Rosebank), near Gautrain station (easy connection to Sandton, Airport, Pretoria, and so on). Less than 5 minutes walk to 24/7 grocery store. Near is a coffee shop and in a walkable distance is Rosebank mall (restaurants, shops). Shower: clean, hot water Laundry service: cheap, fast.

Offering accommodation in Johannesburg, CURIOCITY Backpackers Johannesburg has a splash pool, BBQ facilities and a bar. The property offers bicycles for guests to rent. We were here only for a night but met the best people and were made to feel so welcome and at home! Would highly recommend.

Stay Inn Krugersdorp is situated in Krugersdorp, within 14 km of Roodepoort Country Club and 25 km of Cradle of Humankind. Location easy to find and stuff very welcoming. Hotel very clean and will recommend it to my friends
