Located within 1.2 km of Bai Chay Beach and 200 metres of Ha Long Queen Cable Car, Alex Hostel provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Ha Long. The staff were amazing!! We really couldn’t of asked for anything more, we arrived late (early hours in the morning), and the key was left on the desk for us to let ourselves into our room. We were given the choice of which room we’d like to stay in too. Breakfast was amazing, we were even treated to extra fruit! We were helped out with booking a boat tour, and the owner even got us some dinner before we caught our night bus, as we were going to be short on time to have a shower and get food after our tour. We cannot recommend this hostel enough in Halong!

We booked the king room and it was totally worth it. My girlfriend was delighted with the room condition. Clean, everything brand new, clean bathtub, toilet with electrical bidet, a shower room...to sum up, it is well equipped. Staff were super friendly, even recommended us to take a Ha Long Bay cruise tour package in which we totally had a blast with. I would recommend anyone looking for a cozy stay to take this hotel up with no hesitation.

Set in Ha Long, 1.7 km from Bai Chay Beach, The Light Hostel offers accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Nice hostel in a great location. I booked it for the swimming pool but it was closed after 9 pm. So if you're late checking in you might consider other options. But the room, the breakfast and all other staff was quite good. The administrator helped me a lot, he was very friendly and kind.

Highly recommend to anyone visiting Ha Long bay!! The rooms were super clean with comfy beds and pillows and the shower was great. The breakfast was really good with lots of choice, I highly suggest getting the French toast which is delicious. However, the best part of the experience was the lovely lady who runs the place. She was funny, witty, attentive and helpful and speaks great English. Everything you need they can sort for you from laundry to boat tours to bike rental. Thank you so much again!!
