What an amazing Homestay! I was originally going to be in Cat Ba for a single night, but extended it to three because of how comfortable this homestay was (one of the best I have experienced in Vietnam so far). It is run by a great family, and they are very good about making you feel comfortable and at-home. The rooms were very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the space was clean. I would highly recommend that you stay here if you are in the area! I had every question answered about Cat Ba by the first day, and was able to book motorbike rentals and tours through them :)

Die Unterkunft Alex Hostel bietet klimatisierte Zimmer im Bezirk Bai Chay in Hạ Long und liegt 1,2 km von Strand in Bãi Cháy entfernt. The staff were amazing!! We really couldn’t of asked for anything more, we arrived late (early hours in the morning), and the key was left on the desk for us to let ourselves into our room. We were given the choice of which room we’d like to stay in too. Breakfast was amazing, we were even treated to extra fruit! We were helped out with booking a boat tour, and the owner even got us some dinner before we caught our night bus, as we were going to be short on time to have a shower and get food after our tour. We cannot recommend this hostel enough in Halong!

Das The Oversleep Catba Hostel begrüßt Sie an der Bucht Lan Ha auf der schönen Insel Cat Ba, nur 10 Gehminuten vom Markt von Cat Ba und wenige Schritte vom Fährhafen entfernt. This was probably the best hostel we’ve stayed in during three months travelling in the region. It’s very new so everything is in perfect condition, but it’s also all very well thought out. Plenty of storage space in the dorms, nice warm reading lights and good thick curtains around the beds to block out light. Bathrooms are great - very clean, with nice, powerful (and hot if you want) showers. The staff are also wonderful. Toby at the front desk is smiley, warm and always happy to help. Pa Pa in the restaurant/bar is such a beautiful soul and made us feel so welcome every time we walked in the room. The rest of the staff whose names I sadly don’t know made our stay that much better - always smiling and making us feel like we were staying in more than “just” a hostel. Thank you Toby, Pa Pa and everyone else in the team for everything you do!

Great hostel. I had my own room which was clean, spacious and very quiet at night. Staff was very friendly and helped with everything like excursions, renting bikes and food recommendations, thank you guys:). All in all a great place to stay at the beautiful Cat Ba island.

Die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Zimmer super ausgestattet, so dass es genug Stauraum gibt. Im Erdgeschoss ist ein Restaurant, in dem es sehr leckeres (auch westliches) Essen gibt. Das Essen ist etwas teurer aber den Preis wert. Es gibt eine schöne Rooftopbar mit leckeren Cocktails. Das Personal war überall sehr freundlich.

Great value for money, location is good also. The owner of the hostel made us feel so welcome and answered any questions we had. Fantastic value for the price of the rooms.
