Probably the best hostel I've stayed in, in terms of facilities. So clean, lovely staff, rooftop terrace, big cooking area, help with local bike rental, there's a stage with a piano and microphone in the common area. Dorm capsules are big with their own AC. Just awesome. Location is opposite the main bus station into the lake, but that means you get sunset. There's a regular bus around the lake that starts around 7am so you can make it to a morning departure (e.g. to Alishan).

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in Taiwan. The rooms are very clean and the equipment is very new. The hostel is diligent in updating the equipment. The sockets are of international voltage. It is recommended to anyone visiting Sun Moon Lake.

Great hostel really close the bus station !! Dorms are comfortable, wifi's perfect, toilets are clean and convenient. There's a kitchen where you can cook whatever you like. Tony, the owner, is such an sweet guy. We couldn't communicate a lot due to language barrier but still, I could feel that he was genuinely kind. He took me along on a cross-country trail even though I hadn't planned to and it was an amazing experience. We spent the day on motorbikes, driving through the mountains and rivers. Lunch was good and we even had a snack after that near the river where we meet great people !! I can only recommend spending a few nights in this hostel (I stayed 3 in total), you'll have a great time :))

Centrally located in Puli, Islet Inn is a 20-minute drive from Sun Moon Lake. This bicycle-friendly property offers cosy air-conditioned accommodation with a TV and private bathroom. Very nice place, good style and welcoming. Nice room. We are cycling around the island and stayed here 1 night when passing through Puli, would stay here again. Shower was warm after a hard day's ride, AC was cool. Staff was friendly and the price was a good value. I loved the paintings in our room and also around the inn.
