One of the better hostels I’ve stayed in in Asia. The evening activities foster a great culture for meeting people which is great as a solo traveller and helps if you arrive when people are out for the day. The beach is a short walk away as is 7-11 etc. and good nearby restaurants if you are not confident to ride a scooter on the island.

Situated in Ko Chang, 700 metres from Baan Talay Thai Beach, MontView Koh Chang features accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a bar. I went because the reviews were 9.1 but they don't deserve such score. The room was very unique but they overall experience is not good. Situated in Ban Phai Bae and with Klong Prao Beach reachable within 500 metres, The Lion House features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. Definitely recommend staying here. The owner is really friendly and welcoming. Very nice atmosphere and very chilled out. 10/10
