Set about 2 km from central Sunne, in a building dating from 1910, Gylleby Vandrarhem offers free WiFi. Communal facilities include a kitchen, lounge and dining area. The hostess was extremely friendly. She corrected an error that would have led to a higher than correct charge (we had been referred to as 3 people whereas we were 2). She made us feel welcome by talking friendly and by giving information about the possibility for bicycling, and telling us about the limited opening hours of the attractions we were about to visit. The house (plus garden, plus outdoor Tables, plus giga kitchen, plus giga lunch, plus nice teahouse) is magnificent.

Featuring air conditioning, Valfjället offers pet-friendly accommodation in Gryttved, 8 km from Charlottenberg. The Peace Monument at the Sweden-Norway border is 15 km away. We stayed for almost a week for a ski holiday! Everything was really nice, the cottage, the ski center, the slopes! During our stay were extrem temperatures -30C but the staff did everything to make sure the center stays open and all the guests have enough heat in their cottages! It was kind of relaxing to be in the middle of nowhere…

The food at the restaurant was super delicious, the whole vibe is cozy and homelike. I wish I could stay longer.. definitely a place to come back again!
