This hostel is 2 km outside Kalix town centre and only 2 minutes’ drive from the nearest supermarket. Guests can cook and dine in the fully equipped communal kitchen. It s very clean and tidy. The host was super nice. very reactive and helpful. The location is good for joining polar explorer ice breaker. Absolute good value for money.

My stay was amazing! Lotta, the host was so kind, welcoming and accommodating to make the stay everything I wanted. The best part about staying here is the ease and quality of the available activities/excursions. I tried snow shoeing, snowmobiling and I highly recommend the fire hut with traditional food as well as the outdoor sauna! What an experience! You don’t have to worry about searching to find activities at different places it is all at one place, straight from your room!

There was a sauna. Free parking close to the entrance. Big and clean kichen for common use. Quiet area. The building was not overcrowded.

Kitchen was well stocked with utensils. Other guests were respectful. Staff was somewhat absent, but very friendly and accommodating. Room had a good view to keep a watch for the lights!

There were a lot of small cozy touches, such as vases of flowers on the table and on the windowsill, and small lamps everywhere so you can create warm pools of light around the room. Kitchen was well-stocked and we had everything we needed to keep clean. Hotel had personal touches that set it apart from the larger hotels in the center.
