Right next to a bus stop to go into town if you wanted to. A place to go if you want to escape busy life and just relax

The host was very kind, and the room was amazing. We had free coffee, free Madeiran bananas - very hard to find on the island good to eat! - and overall the experience was great. Close to the MIUT start, near the beach, in the old center, everything was wow! If we will come to Machico again, this is our first option 100%!

Featuring a garden, bar and views of sea, Jaca Hostel Funchal is set in Funchal, 800 metres from Almirante Reis Beach. An extremely nicely decorated place, it was a joy to come back to everyday - so many cute details to discover! Cleanliness of all the facilities was on point. The free towels and free beer were a nice touch. Check-in also went smoothly, even without staff. I would definitely recommend this place, great value for money!
