Situated in the town of Ohakune, on the edge of Tongariro National Park, LKNZ Lodge & Cafe is within 5 minutes' walk of restaurants, bars and shops. It features a sauna, hot tubs and an on-site cafe. Insane value for your money. Had the twin room with bathroom. Cute kitchenette included, good beds, warm. Free parking included. The Café downstairs has fair prices for what you can get and the personnel is super friendly. We Germans don't say "Amazing!" very often, but when we do, we mean it. Cheers and thanks for having us.

Central location with a restobar and mini golf course just beside, and fuel station/convenience store within 2 mins walking distance. Shuttles from to/from Tongariro Crossing starts from the hostel and can be booked directly at the reception, which is very convenient. Showers are consistently hot, which is really needed after a long day of hiking. Kitchen well equipped. Overall this is the perfect hostel to stay in National Park.

We had all the basic for an accomodation - heater, gas, refrigerator, etc. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The owner is very accomodating to our needs.

Objekat Rusty Nail Backpackers je smešten u gradu Taihape i u ponudi ima vrt. Smeštaj gostima nudi zajedničku kuhinju i zajednički salon. Super quiet and cozy. Got some good sleep and enjoyed my time here. Nice place out in the country where the owners live up top and the hostel is down below. Has a map where you can pin where you are coming from, which I did. I think that makes 4 people for Florida. They have a full kitchen available and a clothes washer. I think they have gotten less visitors post pandemic and I don’t normally write reviews but thought I’d let the pubic know this place is clean and I had a great time.

Nothing, it was the worst place I've ever stayed in. I had to move room 3 times and the room I ended up with I had to clean up and make the bed. I will never stay there again.
