Voss is 52 km from Hardanger Basecamp, while Myrkdalen is 72 km from Hardanger Basecamp. Flåm is 112 km away from the hostel. We stayed in a yurt for two nights. The interior was extremely cosy and everything was lovingly decorated. Unfortunately there was a lot of rain during our stay so we could not do too many activities outside. Instead we taught the kids how to make a fire, we had excellent camp meals and at night cuddled in the (heated) yurts with our fluffy blankets. Pancake breakfast was an extraordinary experience in the little café, especially for the children. Overall highly recommended.

All rooms at Voss Hostel have private bathroom facilities. Most rooms offer views of the surrounding nature and some rooms feature lake views. Clean, comfortable and staff were helpful. The view of the lake from the dining room, common area, and back deck was spectacular. Because it was a little away from the town center it was pretty quiet. The breakfast was also great.
