Facing the beachfront in Moyogalpa, Rancho Tranquillo features a garden and a terrace. Free WiFi and a tour desk are featured. All units at the hostel are equipped with a seating area. They were such a lovely and friendly couple. They helped me with information about the island and got a really good lunch for the hike and an excelent breakfast. Totally worth staying here.

La Urraca Loca Hostel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Balgue. Featuring barbecue facilities, the property is located within 12 km of Maderas Volcano. The owners have created a paradise in Balgue. Loved every bit of it and I think they are travellers themselves because some details were already arranged in the rooms and the facilities. I felt pretty relaxed in the hostel and the people who run it and work for it organised the activities I wanted.

Set in Santa Cruz, Raindance features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. The property is non-smoking and is situated 1.7 km from Santo Domingo Beach. Out of all my years travelling, I’ve never found somewhere that has ticked literally every box. It’s so clear that the owners have spent many years backpacking as everything has been thought of from a back packers perspective. As well as amenities, the vibe is so goooood. The chilled nights are chilled and the party nights are banging. The music and food, the staff, the location, everything! Thank you soooo much to Charlie, Styx and the gang for looking after me and attending to my every need. I’m so gutted I had to eventually leave. Love and appreciate you guys! May we meet again! I reccomend rain dance to everyone.

Situated in Moyogalpa, Cocos Hostel has a garden. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Coco's Hostel is immaculately clean, with a pleasant central garden area tended with care and hung with colorful hammocks. Mayela, the owner, is delightful and does her best to make the guest feel welcome. This is my "go to" place when I am in Moyogalpa.

Located in Altagracia, 1.2 km from Santo Domingo Beach, Hostel Santa Cruz Ometepe provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Nice room, nice view, quite and a lot of space.

Located in Moyogalpa, Sophie House offers 3-star accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The hostel provides both free WiFi and free private parking. It’s a bit aside from the port city Moyogalpa, so it’s very calm and almost no cars and people here, but still easy to reach by foot from the Centre (15 min walk). It has breakfast included and it’s home cooked food by the family. My room was very spacious, with 1 double and 1 single bed. They had outlets outside and inside, so i could work online here. Ask for both WiFi passwords! The host family was very nice and always tried to help, like when I needed a dentist they found a number. They don’t speak English (as most locals here) but with my broken Spanish and google translate we always understood each other. You can also ask them about the laundry option. Thanks for hosting me!

This is a small family based hostel on only 2,5 KM from Altagracia. Surrounded by nature and close to Ogo de Agua, Altagracia, Vulcano Conseption and many more. Guest can enjoy the on-site bar. The place was clean and comfortable and the hosts were very kind and helpful.

El Pital, Chocolate Paradise has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Balgue. Carmen and Manuel are amazing, and all the staff in general make you feel at home. it was my second time here and I would definitely come back

El Zopilote Permaculture Farm/hostel is a backpackers hostel and a permaculture farm at the same time. We offer various types of hospitality like private rooms, dormitories, camping areas and... Off the grid, welcoming Hostel. Once you walk the 5min path in the jungle, you arrive in the most charming place. I loved the vibe here. The staff is very helping and welcoming. Very good vibe among the guests. Plenty of workshops to keep yourself busy everyday. The sunset from the mirador is beautiful. I’ll be back <3
