At first I was sceptical about this hotel, but the room turned out to be very clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable. Nothing outstanding, just a classic hotel room, but everything looked and felt new. There was a fridge and a kettle in the room. The price was very reasonable comparing to other options in Valmiera for weekend. Also, in my case it was great that I was able to place a last minute booking literally on the same day of our arrival. Normally summer weekends are fully booked everywhere.

Hostel Nr.2 terletak di Rauna, 24km dari Cesis New Castle dan 24km dari Sculpture Through the Centuries. Very clean and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. We have returned after visiting nearly 2 years ago and the hostel remains just like new! We always book the room with a toilet and shower. The bedroom is large, with a table and chairs and has a beautiful view of the church - see photo! The shower is perfect - everything in this hostel seems to have been carefully considered and designed. The location is excellent, being 2 minutes walk away from 3 different supermarkets yet still is very quiet and relaxing. The castle is opposite and there are many scenic walks in Rauna. An excellent cafe / restaurant is next to the hostel that serves delicious food at very reasonable prices.

There is all the basics for kitchen except oven. Lovely balcony with evening sun. I counted three birds nests with chicks on the balcony. Location of this place is some sort of magical.
