The units at the accommodation feature air conditioning and a safety deposit box. Please do yourself a favour and stay at this guesthouse, it’s genuinely one of the best I’ve ever been to. It feels more like an in-vogue boutique hotel or your ‘cool’ aunt’s place. The location is perfect as it’s only a 5-minute tuk tuk or a leisurely 20-minute stroll into town but importantly you’re able to escape the chaos, dust and noise of Kandy. The living space, bedroom and bathroom are all spacious and clean, and the design and furniture in the space is amazing! What really stands out about this place though is the host. Jeevani feels like more of a friend than a host and some of my favourite memories of Kandy will be the conversations I had with her. She’s extremely kind and caring and has a lot of wisdom and life experience to share. Make sure you make time to have a conversation with her!

Breakfast everyday was different and so delicious! He took me on a tour to the tea factory, an artist studio, a village, and an Ayuverdic spa. He ended our tour with a treat (baked goods and homemade biryani) when I finished my massage. He also offered to give a tour of the Buddhist temples. This hostel is extremely close to the train station and easy to access Royal Botanical Garden by bus. Even the complimentary soap here smells amazing. I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel and I've made a wonderful lifelong friend. I would recommend for solo travellers especially because of the delicious free breakfast and the activities that the host has planned.
