The location is on a quiet street, short walk from Samegai JR station (which unfortunately does not have an escalator) The Ryokan has been renovated beautifully, plenty of space to read, chat, eat and relax. The Ryokan has well thought out shared bathrooms, toilet and a small kitchenette with a kettle, small fridge and microwave available for use. The Ryokan is very clean with fresh towels provided everyday. The host Usui san cooks breakfast and dinner daily upon request, but you are free to buy food and eat it at the Ryokan.

I had a really great time in this place, thanks to Konbu, Michi and Egosan who are amazing hosts. I was looking for a place to stay for a few days to do nothing but rest and this place was perfect. I really felt at home, the living room was my lair. There is a grocery store 15 minutes by walk but to be fair I didnt go there since you can ask Egosan to cook for you (1000 ¥/meal). And let me tell you that he is a great cook. On the first evening he asked me what is my favorite Japanese dish and he made it the following day ! Since I was the only customer during my stay we spend time together, they even bring me with them to go to a good local restaurant and then they surprised me by going to a bakery since I said I wanted to try Japanese dessert. Once again, I had a really great time !

GUEST HOUSE NAGORIYA se encuentra en Hikone, a 1,7 km de Castillo Hikone, y ofrece alojamiento con bar y parking privado gratis. Quirky cafe/guesthouse with a very relaxed atmosphere and very friendly owner (who speaks English and is well-traveled). Stayed here for a few days to shelter from the rain and it felt really homely. Spacious rooms, good facilities.

長濱元浜町宿場 片原楽家 está en Nagahama, a 14 km de Castillo Hikone y a 8,9 km de Estación de Maibara. Ofrece alojamiento con terraza, bar y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Great accomodation in a peaceful village. Very comfortable stay, you have all you need in there, the location is perfect and Hide-san and the rest of the staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. It was such a great time to stay there in Nagahama.
