The location was second to none because it is close to both train stations and just a few steps from the central area of Nara. Also they rent bicycles for a very good price for hour or day, that saved me a lot of time.

We were absolutely delighted. Not for those looking for a luxurious modern hotel, but absolutely perfect for us. Very close to everywhere we wanted to go, right next to Nara park, but not far from the station. Takashi, our host, was charming and spoke perfect English. He recommended where to go and returned to the house to show us how to turn the heating on when it got cold. We had a wonderful stay and we already miss it!

That alone is worth coming here. The front room is so cozy and there is a massage machine. Location wise you can do Yoshino by walk during a day going up and back and you could even choose the quiet path starting north. There is nothing to do see but it is tranquil as you also don't see the hordes of tourists.
