Set in Miyazaki, 1.6 km from Kodomo-no-Kuni, Finecamp Guesthouse Share Room 相部屋 offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The best sharehouse I have ever been to. Beyond cleanliness and comfort matching or exceeding hotels: nice decorations, free amenities (coffee, snacks, etc), and the nicest people! I also choose to add surfing lessons and it was a blast that topped off the end of my trip perfectly. There are bikes available to take around town and to the beach as well. Could not recommend more for those who want to enjoy the beach, or to really to anyone in the area!

Hostel Marika -ホステルマリカ- is set in Nichinan. The property is situated 36 km from Daguri Cape Amusement Park, 46 km from Kodomo-no-Kuni and 48 km from Aoshima Shrine. I enjoyed my stay at the hostel. Its right in the centre of Obi, close to the supermarket and old town, restaurants etc. The owner was very helpful although my Japanese was terrible she was very friendly and patient.
