Otaornai Backpacker's Hostel Morinoki ist kostenlos und unabhängige Reisende in Hokkaido Otaru. Nicht gut für kleine Gruppe oder Familie. Spent three wonderful days here, very cozy Japanese traditional house. The staff make me feel warm. What's interesting is that on Chinese New Year's Eve (it's also my birthday) I sat in the restaurant with the hostel boss I guess, I was eating my meal, he was using the computer, and it was quiet around the fire until late at night. He kindly helped me clean up my kitchen waste. I got a sticker at the front desk to put on my suitcase. All are unforgettable memories.

Dieses Hostel – strategisch gut gelegen im Bezirk Toyako Onsen – befindet sich 41 km von Bahnhof Muroran, 41 km von Bahnhof Higashi-muroran und 46 km von Hirafu Station entfernt. This was the 2nd hostel I stayed in while I traveled through Japan for the first time. Honestly loved the temporary escape from the city scene. Hostel is very clean and around the corner from the bus station to get you to and from the JR station. Bedroom had a window you could prop open, a comfy mattress, privacy curtains, and ac/heat if needed. The hostel is located right across the street from Lake Toya. The national park welcome center is also located a street away behind the hostel. Hostel is located on a strip where you'll find different shops including restaurants and convenience stores. Sauna inside the hostel, also very clean. Showers were all clean and spacious with shelves and hooks to easily change clothes. The locker room is coed but it's primarily used to store your belongings, there are 3 sinks with a stool where you can take your time to dry your hair and the hostel provides basic skin care products if you need them. Hostel is located inside the restaurant/coffee shop, you'll have direct access to order food or purchase soft drinks, coffee, or beer. I don't speak Japanese and the hosts don't speak English, but handy Google translate was how we communicated and the hosts were awesome about it.

Dieses Hostel – optimal gelegen im Bezirk Stadtzentrum – befindet sich 13 km von Bahnhof Shin-Sapporo, 20 km von Otarushi Zenibako City Center und 36 km von Bahnhof Otaru entfernt. The cabin space is more like a mini room. The space on top of your bed is actually a half partitioned storage area for your luggage. So you get a semi-open area and excellent space (can even stand). Amenities like towels, toothbrush and toothpaste, disposable slippers etc are all provided. You have 2 indoor lounge areas. One is the common area nearby the shower and restroom. Another is the 24h accessible larger cafe area (use the same access card) which is more suitable for study/reading. I utilized both while watching the snow falls in Sapporo. Not gonna lie, it has a very nice vibe 😁. Elevator is available and fast enough. Convenience store right beside it. Multi level parking lots just right across the building. Roughly 1 block away from the tram line, and 3 min walk to Odori park. Close enough to the nightlife in Susukino. Just excellent location. Coin washer + dryer works well and available 24h. There's also a separate section for women to shower and prep in the common area.

The place was super cosy, modern and especially clean. There is a restaurant called Tomoni located within the premises and it serves delicious local food. the staff are especially attentive and polite too.

Es werden Handtücher gestellt und man bekommt Informationen zu den Busfahrpläne zum Toya Onsen und See. Die Zimmer sind im japanischen Stil eingerichtet und man schläft auf einem Futon. Es ist kein Personal vor ort.
