Tehúsið Hostel has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Egilsstadir. Located around 34 km from Hengifoss, the hostel with free WiFi is also 24 km away from Gufufoss. The amenities were really good, location was ok, nearby gas station and some stores.

Set a 10-minute drive from Jökulsárlón Glacier, this farm hostel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and mountain views. Iceland’s Ring Road is right next to the property. The property was one of our favourites while doing the ring road. The rooms are very nice and spacious and also have its own sink which is convenient. The kitchen was great because we could basically cook anything and they had complimentary juice and yogurt!

Overlooking Höfn harbour and with views towards the Vatnajökull Glacier, this hostel features a guest kitchen and laundry facilities. This is probably the cleanest, most quiet hostel I've been to in all European countries. Absolutely loved it!

Set in Bakkafjörður, NorthEast Guesthouse features a garden. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi. This was a perfect place to enjoy a quiet night. The town is adorable and everyone was so sweet. I would highly recommend staying here. The restaurant was also delicious.

Húsey Hostel & Horsefarm features accommodation 55 km from Egilsstadir. The hostel has family rooms. At the hostel the rooms include a shared bathroom with a shower. This was the most wonderful place to stay. The hostel is a hundred year old home maintained to its true character. The farm is in the most beautiful, isolated area. More than horses, it offers nature walks. I was only sorry I didn't stay longer. Very unique experience and loved it.

The place feels so homey and welcoming. Amazing view, friendly host. The kitchen has everything you need. There are books and boardgames available for guests. Facilities are great. This hostel is located on Berunes farm by the Ring Road and is 45 km from the village of Djúpivogur. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges. Free WiFi is available. Beautiful location, very nice and friendly staff. Also nice walking trail to the Mountain.

Well organised. Everything that you need for a night or a few was there. Clean towels, bedsheets. Essentials in the kitchen. Clean hallway. Good equipped bathroom etc. Honestly one of the best hostel I have been at! Keep the good work. Oh ! And the kind staff was also amazing 👏🏼
