I had reached Darjelling pretty late but the host came to pick me up pretty late in the evening, which was so appreciated. I would highly reccomend everyone to ask the host for the local food and places(their recommendations),They will reccomend you places and restaurants that are gems.

Dden Vennell 2-homestay close to Metro is situated in Kolkata, 13 km from Indian Museum and 14 km from Nandan. I had a great stay here. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. The room was nice and quiet, and you have a lot of privacy. The guesthouse is good to use as a base for exploring Calcutta as it's more quiet and relaxed compared to the guesthouses in the centre. It's easy to get to: first a metro to Kavi Nazrul and then a 10rs shared ricksaw. It's worth the commute to stay in a nice place. I'll definately recommend staying here.
