Beautiful location - for me it was worth it even though it is about a 30 minute walk to the main tourist street. Honestly it is nice being away from the tourist trap main drag even though I was only there for a few days. The road that leads to the hostel has lots of shops, some restaurants and bars, the sister hostel’s travel cafe, and Rachna Bookstore for great books and food. So if you are around for a while its great. The property is set in dense greenery, and does indeed have lots of birdlife. Great common spaces, great balconies, great food for the set dinners (I didn’t have the breakfast or lunch), and the staff is super knowledgeable, especially Saran. They have a deeper and somewhat offbeat lost of things to do in Gangtok, and will organize hikes for groups from the hostel. The standout for me here was the design - an amazing space compared to any other hostel I’ve been to in India. And very clean :)

Nằm ở Gangtok, cách Sân vận động Palzor Stadium 1.6 km, Tashila Hostel cung cấp chỗ nghỉ có xe đạp miễn phí, chỗ đậu xe riêng, phòng chờ chung và sân hiên. The place is super spacious, I felt like I was staying in a villa. There’s a balcony with seating, a big couch with a TV in the living room, an upstairs balcony with lounge chair and an upstairs common room. If I had more time I would have hung out here for a while. They even have a working space (and good wifi) which makes it the ideal spot to chill out. The owner and his staff are super friendly and made me feel right at home. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, they helped me with anything and everything I’d need and answered every question. Whenever I’d go out they’d help arrange transportation and make sure I get a fair price. The beds are super comfy and the rooms have a very homely feel to it. The whole place is spic and span, very tidy and clean, and the included breakfast is simple but delicious. They make a killer toast! Opt to take dinner with them in the evening, they’re really good cooks! Definitely recommend staying here!

Great place to Stay in Pelling. Really quiet & peaceful. Nimesh & Aloke are great hosts. Be sure to check this place out.

Mellow Fellow Hostel có phòng chờ chung, sân hiên, nhà hàng và quầy bar ở Gangtok. Ngoài dịch vụ tiền sảnh, chỗ nghỉ này còn có sòng bạc. I had such a lovely time at Mellow Fellow, I stayed for over a week. The staff, especially Sandi and Annie, are great people who really made the stay special. They are fun, friendly, and have a wealth of knowledge about Sikkim. The facilities are also very comfortable, with clean rooms and a vibey common area. Of course, the location is also perfect for exploring MG Marg with dozens of restaurants nearby. Mellow fellow should be your only choice when visiting Gangtok.

After three months of traveling all over the country of India, I finally found a quiet and cozy place in this hostel. The staff I very helpful and nice. In the coffee are very often interesting guests from all over the country as singers etc. The food both in the coffee and in the hostel is very tasty. I can  lovely recommend the hostel to everyone.
