Basecamp Wales offers family-run hostel accommodation in Llanllyfni, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and 30.3 km from Pen-Y-Pass and 8.2 km to the beach at Dinas Dinlle. There is a flock of alpacas and sheep in the field, and free feed for kids to give to them. Staff were excellent when we arrived, giving a site tour.

It is beautifully renovated upstairs. Steve was very friendly and the room was comfortable. It is close to town center and restaurant. There is an easy walk to the Harbor. Location not far from Cardigan and Poppit Sands. The hostel is very dog friendly.

Situated in Betws-y-coed, 20 km from Snowdon, Woodlands Centre features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Wonderful suroundings and a beautiful building. I liked the vibe of a country hostel with the facilities such as shower- and drying-room. It was very quiet and peaceful during winter and close to hiking trails as well as the train station.

Situated in a converted school house, Lodge Dinorwig is located in Dinorwig, 8 km from Snowdon. Free private parking is available on site. We had an awesome stay as a base for out hiking trips. The owner made us feel like home right away and helped us out with good tips on the region.

This place is a real gem, tucked into a corner of the old city walls. Ample common area with large kitchen in the basement, friendly host, and plenty of food out for breakfast. You can walk to Caernarfon Castle in five minutes.

Llangollen Hostel Self-catering is a 4-star, Victorian town house in the centre of Llangollen. 2nd time we’ve visited Llangollen and both times we stayed here. Location is great. Facilities are great. Price is even better. Wi-Fi worked well enough to work remotely and there is a shed for those bike touring like us. Jamie you left such a positive impression, thank you for a great stay!

Situated in Fishguard, close to the Pembrokeshire Coastal path, Hamilton Lodge - Cottage sleeps 8 has 3 bedrooms and a secluded cottage garden with covered terrace. We were able to set thermostat where we liked. I appreciated this sooo much! The house is amazing with three bathrooms! I loved being in the house it is beautiful and so many helpful details were given to us about wifi and where to go locally etc. Our host was super friendly and helpful with questions! We were able to do washing at the house which was lovely too! I was very happy to be in a house where recycling is taken seriously too. We had a great stay! The host is a seriously lovely person.

Set in Dolgellau in Snowdonia National Park, Kings boasts a barbecue and views of the mountains. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms have views of the river or garden. We were already excited by the drive up through the beautiful wooded valley. When we arrived we were overwhelmed with the beauty and tranquility of the location. The property was so clean and comfortable and big enough to accommodate us all very easily. We were fortunate enough to have lots of sunshine so we enjoyed walks, a BBQ and a fire. We had plenty of shared meals in the big dining room.
