From the moment I arrived, Patricia the owner made me feel so welcome! I booked and paid for a dorm bed, but I was given a large and beautiful private room with private bathroom, I'm guessing because it's low season and they had extra private rooms, and because they really care about their guests. The shower was the best I've had in months! Really hot water and excellent water pressure. Guests are invited to have filtered drinking water, coffee, and a variety of teas. The included dinner and breakfast were generous and delicious. And in the common area, there's a ping pong table, pool tables and foosball. The bed and pillow were amazingly comfortable. They checked with everyone to see where they were trekking the following day, and to make sure they were given clear instructions how to get there.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed here while having eye surgery conveniently nearby. I am rebooking for a friend today. The facilities are well maintained, spotlessly clean, comfortable and the staff most helpful and understanding of our needs. Breakfast is healthful and excellent. Two small items installed in the rooms would add to the comfort of guests, a hot pot and a table lamp. Great value for the price.

Welcome to Minka Smart Hostel, the first intelligent and automated hostel in all of Ecuador with a family atmosphere that you will feel at home. The staff is amazing and really helps with everything when organizing the movement in loco, they spear no suggestion and direct you in the best way possible. The bedroom are nice and matrasses comfortable. It's good to have a kitchen because it helps save some money. It is pretty well organize, small but has everything you need (plus you have a lot of random things left by past guests that you can use). Breakfast was play, a but of fried plantain and eggs. Nothing special but it's nice to wake up to some already prepared food. Good location. I would say that it is right in the middle of the city so you can easily walk to the old Town but also to the botanical garden.

Only 500 metres from Foch Square, Posada del Maple has practical rooms with private bathrooms. It features a common living room with a fireplace and a small patio with plants. The couple who managed the property were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us! The breakfast was good. The location was great.
