Ester`s Place in Escazù. provides accommodation with, a garden and a terrace. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Ester’s place was easy to find with Google maps and Uber. It had everything I needed and for a price better than anything else around. Ester responded very quickly to any question I had. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting simple accommodation in this area.

Hostel Gaudys is located 8 minutes’ walk from La Sabana Metropolitan Park and 2 km from San José City Centre. Free WiFi access is available in public areas. The stuff is so friendly, breakfast is great, beautiful green oasis in a loud and chaotic city, 10 mins walk from the airport. I will be back again & felt so safe and sound as a solo travelling woman. Good place to meet other travelers, too.

Casa Escalante Hostel has a wonderful family staff Elena his couple and daughter are so adorable they make me feel so comfortable and care during my two day of stay. I had great comments regarding this place before arrive and definitely exceeded my expectations.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions about San José, they even helped me find a way to get to other areas in Costa Rica. The hostel had a nice relaxed vibe and is always clean. There's an outdoor area that is beautiful and surrounded by nature and its great for socializing with everyone. It's in a nice area that is in walking distance from many things like Sodas, the mall, Barrio Escalante, etc. Overall awesome stay

Set in San José, within an 8-minute walk of San Juan de Dios Hospital and 1 km of Metropolitan Hospital Costa Rica, StrayCat offers accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi. I arrived late and had to leave very early the next morning. Staff was very friendly and informative and helped me with finding a bus. I also forgot to change my phone so woke up an hour early so the receptionist made me breakfast an hour early which was very nice of him
