Situated in San Gil, Macondo Hostel has a garden, shared lounge, BBQ facilities, and free WiFi throughout the property. Loved how much they help with tours and everything you need. The hostel has such a great vibe aswell if you want to just relax and chill. I would recommend staying here to everyone I tell about going to san gil. All the workers are amazing and go above and beyond. They have little free experiences aswell like tejo, Spanish lessons and football. It honestly is the best place we stayed extra nights because we loved it that much. San gil is the nicest place and this hostel accomodate you in every way possible. The owner is amazing aswell. I needed help with medication and he came to help translate everything. Can’t express on how great this place is

Located in Barichara, 41 km from Chicamocha National Park, La Pacha Hostel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. My favorite part of La Pacha was their restaurant. They have a fantastic Indian Vegetarian Thali that they do. It is really delicious. It came with rice, chapati, dal, paneer, a veg curry and a really tasty mango chutney. I can vouch for it because I am from India! Great job Justin and Andrea :)

Tinto Hostel is located in Barichara. It is situated in the town’s beautiful historic centre and features charming colonial architecture, plus free WiFi access. When I first booked at Tinto Hostel, I was in the process of looking for a tranquil and quiet place to stay for the last month of my 9-month journey abroad. After spending two nights in Barichara and at Tinto Hostel, I knew I had landed in the perfect spot. I ended up extending my stay from 2 nights to almost a full month. The hostel is surrounded by rich greenery which made it all that more relaxing and rejuvenating. I felt I was sleeping in a beautiful garden yet, the dorm room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds were also much bigger than any dorm room that I'd stayed in throughout my journey in Colombia. The location was perfect and close to everything. The town of Barichara itself, was absolutely stunning. The cost was extremely affordable. The owner Javier and his staff were wonderful and a delight to be around. Javier upon arrival, provided everyone with a map of the town and recommended the best places to eat, shop, and sites to see. Javier was always available for anything guests needed and was always helpful in any way possible. Javier is an exceptional host and I will miss him and his staff greatly.
