Masaya San Agustin features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in San Agustín. We had a great stay at Masaya. We loved the open common area where our kids enjoyed playing billiards, ping pong, and with the big blocks. We enjoyed the food very much and loved the included breakfast choices. Our hut was comfortable and quiet for a good night's sleep. We read some other comments before booking so were worried about noise, and the walk to the main hut, but we have no complaints. It was a unique and wonderful experience. There were paths to the view point and around the grounds that our kids loved to explore. When you visit the archeological parks, ask reception for Oscar or Santiago to drive you all around the area for a reasonable price.

Hostal Bambu features a garden, terrace, a bar and BBQ facilities in San Agustín. Without a doubt this is the best hostel in Colombia. It is filled with color and joy, making every moment you spend there fantastic. Comfortable beds, real sheets and an owner, Gerard, with high octane energy that is infectious. All you will find here are endless smiles and new friends. If Michelin gave stars to hostels, this would be a 3 star. Worth the trip to San Augustin just to stay at Hostal Bambu.

Backpackers And Travellers Hostel features a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Neiva. Everything was simply perfect. Hostel is clean, bed is comfy and plenty of common areas to hang out. The tour to the desert organized by the hostel was amazing! Tatiana, our guide, was very knowledgeable and I really enjoyed the tour! Supermarkets and plenty of restaurants close to the hostel.

Very simple hotel - was a great value at less than 1/2 the price of anything else listed on Booking.com in Villavieja. Don't expect luxury, some small details weren't the best in the world (bed was hard), but for a traveler looking to experience the desert on a budget it's just fine. Very principally located to the main plaza - where the bus drops you off from Neiva, where there are restaurants and where you can find transportation to the desert. We were happy with our decision to stay in town instead of the desert.
