The stuff was very friendly, the location for a youth hostel was amazing, the room was very clean and we enjoy our stay very much. We’ll return for sure.

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. It offers a park with a pool, free WiFi and a limited number of free parking spaces. Stunning interior with the history preserved in the hallways and nice modern comfortable rooms. The restaurant is simply outstanding! Nice interior and surrounded by palmtrees, but what is really extra is the chef, brilliant food creativity! Highest recommendations!

Surrounded by a lush garden, the Youth Hostel Locarno is 1.5 km away from the train station and the Lake Maggiore. The restaurant serves Swiss and Mediterranean cuisine and packed lunches can be provided. Everything I expect from an HI hostel really. Particularly liked the dinner option in the evening and breakfast in the morning, which is a good money-saver. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable.

Offering a ski school and a ski pass sales point, Casa di vacanza Giovanibosco is located in Bosco Gurin, 400 metres from Ski Lift Stafla. Local cuisine can be enjoyed in the Ristorante Hotel Walser next door.

This hostel has ski storage space and ski equipment hire is available. The nearest airport is Lugano Airport, 83 km from the property. Very clean hostel. Also very quiet. The staff (especially Franco) is very kind-hearted.

Situated in Ascona in the Canton of Ticino, Casa Moscia is located directly on the shore of Lago Maggiore and features a private beach area. The hostel is operated by a Christian association and offers a familiar atmosphere and many facilities for children. It is very beautiful, well taken care of and services are very well organized. We felt very much 'at home' there. The view from the rooms is extraordinary. The garden is beautiful with lots of different plants.

Surrounded by lush forests, Baracca Backpacker is located in Aurigeno, a peaceful traditional village in the heart of Ticino District. Barbecue facilities and a shared well-equipped kitchen are available. A 10-minute walk away is a river with a waterfall, suitable for swimming. I liked Everything about this place! I loved it, it’s perfect to “disconnect to reconnect”.

The Casa Calina is a newly renovated guest house with a large garden in a quiet location in Carona, with beautiful views over Lake Lugano. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Each room at Casa Calina has its own terrace offering superb views of the mountains of Ticino, Lake Lugano and the surrounding area. 3 rooms share a common bathroom. A kitchen and dining room for the guest's use are available as well. The location is a bit remote from the city of Lugano, but the views are wonderful and it's surrounded by nature. The house itself is very cozy, welcoming and well maintained.
