Set very close to banks of the River Rhine, this designer hostel is next to the old city gate of St. Alban. The youth hostel building is beautifully designed and a pleasure to use. Staff were very helpful , our room was small but nice , and the food was great

The Basel Backpack is housed in a renovated historic factory, only 10 minutes from Basel’s main train station. The Basel Mobility Ticket (free public transport) is included in the rates. Super cool place and neighbourhood, it was a novel and captivating experience. The hostel is clean, comfy. The staff is super nice. And it is not very far from the centre. Really liked staying there!
