Set amid the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park, this hostel boasts an on-site cafe and 2 self-catering guest kitchens. It includes private storage for guests and acts as a ski pass vendor. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were really lovely.

Boasting Rocky Mountain views, HI-Banff Alpine Centre offers a café and a bar. Free WiFi and self catering kitchens are available for guests to use. Banff town centre is 4 minutes' drive away. Location, staff and basically everything was just awesome. Free bus ticket to get around Banff, so no hassle with parking.

I loved this hostel, I'd dare to say it was the best one I've ever stayed in. We were traveling with a group of 4, so we had a room for ourselves. The kitchen is fully equipped, and it's quite big. There's plenty of space to chill or work, either outside or inside. There are books, board games, billiards, some musical instruments, so you won't get bored. You can also wash (est. $2) clothes and dry (free) them if you need. The hostel is set in a wooden house, and it also adds a lot to its vibe :).

Located between Banff and Lake Louise, this wilderness hostel is a great place. The host was very helpful as were the other visitors there. Since it's within half an hour of driving to Banff and Lake Louise it's a great spot to be in.

Located in Banff centre, this hostel provides free WiFi in all rooms. Mount Norquay Ski Resort is 15 minutes’ drive away. Not too expensive for a place like Banff, the rooms are very comfy and clean! 10/10

Located on Banff National Park, this hostel is just 5 minutes’ walk from Banff’s shops and bars. Had a great night at this hostel, was really clean and I liked the en suite bathrooms. Definitely one of the better hostel breakfasts I’ve had - loads of options. Also the girls Daisy and Linzi on the desk were both really helpful in terms of what hikes and stuff to do in Banff

The hostel is well-run by Lars, who gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. The 12-bed dorms are actually split into two parts with 6 beds each which provided a more private and quiet experience than expected. With no electricity, no phone reception, and only 1 hour wifi per day, the hostel forces you to disconnect and instead enjoy the nature, the sauna, and each others' company. With only around 20km to Lake Louise, it is the ideal base for exploring some of the highlights in Banff.
