The hostel is simply but clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and supportive. They went above and beyond during my stay. There is a fully stocked kitchen with pans, spices, and and even an oven. There are clothing lines for drying your clothes, and hot water in the shower. The mosquitos also were thankfully not that bad. Highly recommend if you want a cheap but comfortable place to stay.

Dormitory is spacious and mattress is very good. Breakfast also very good. There are two shared kitchens, one outside and one inside the house. You can park the car inside the property. The backyard is beautiful, with lots of hammocks, a big table and a space for a fire pit.

It was especially useful that they were able to give so much information about how to get to various trails, the national park and how and when to enlist a guide. This was invaluable as a solo traveller. The help and patience with my Portuguese pronunciation was also very welcome! It's also in a lovely location, very close to the main street in the town.
